Head South Young Man

Woke up early and found a flood in the kitchen. Something from upstairs rained downstairs and onto the kitchen counter. After a cleanup and telling the front desk we left for breakfast and then traveled to the southern most point in the US. The attached picture is from the "lighthouse", and while we never made it to the official southernmost point it was close enough for us. https://w3w.co/milked.salons.glades is where we ended up. Lots cool rock carvings and tributes. The wind was really whipping up the waves.

Then a trip to what I considerer the best Hawaiian "donut" I have ever had at Punalu'u Bake Shop. They Malasada's and are wonderful. When you get a filled one, rather than shoot a tablespoon full into the middle link Dunkin', they cut it in half and make a sandwich.

Next stop was Punalu'u Black Sand Beach. No turtles this year, but still a weird stand and nice beach, It was time to head back to the Hotel and we picked a random local shack for lunch. It was OK,

Afternoon pool time (no pictures), and then a seafood dinner with a great sunset to end the day. I began to notice on my cruise how much food a restaurant puts on the plate. At Publix, for example, a piece of fish is 5.25 oz, while restaurants put at least 7-10 oz. It was a very good catch of the day (with fresh vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes) , but way too much.
