Saturday was just a weird day. Started with a breakfast buffet on the water, then I went looking for some long pants at the stores across from the hotel Checkout was 11AM, and there was a line at 10:55 AM, so knowing had 3 hours to kill I went to the Concierge desk and talked to the nice lady about getting a simple mani/pedi since I knew my toe nails needed to be clipped and since I didn't have my luggage yet, I needed my fingernails cut as well. That was an experience, and my nails have never looked better...

I then had lunch at the Hilton and a 2PM left for the ship. It was a standard mass of annoying humanity. While there are 0nly 282 people on board. manners don't exist for some people. While it was only 2 women who I saw do this, it was still annoying give the number of people and not enough chairs. After getting my carry-on luggage tagged (there was no Air France flight on Saturday to get me my luggage I looked for a place to sit. 2 different women had their belongings on a chair, I thought waiting for their spouse, but no I saw the spouse show up, and take a 3rd saved seat. Those seats remained person empty until we all got up to board the ship. They took the group who was under the tent first and sent us to the ship to make sure we had our passports. Then they herded us to tables for our medical forms, and finally to check-in. Got to my room and unpacked my limited belongings.

Then I went to the Reception desk to see what could be done about my luggage. Filled out forms and went to the activities desk to see what I had signed up for.

Got dinner reservations at the only restaurant that allows shorts/T-Shirts and bought another T-shirt from the gift shop so I would have a clean shirt for Sunday.

Had the mandatory muster drill and then "orientation"

Since this is a French company, the orientation was in both English and French. Then off to a fantastic dinner and finally bed.

This is not a river cruise or a big Carnival cruise ship, I felt the rocking of the boat a few times during the night.

Had 2 I'm an idiot tech moments. I could not make calls to the US (specifically my bank) so I was chatting with Verizon. Took 3 hours for the 2nd person to realize I was putting the + sign before the 1 when dialing. The 2nd was when I contacted the back I only did 1 of the 2 required steps to get my card to work in a foreign country,
