Saturday was my last full day in Las Vegas. The drunk women at 4AM I could handle, the screaming kids running up and down the halls at 6 and 7 AM, not so much.
After breakfast I decided to head to Freemont Street and do "SlotZilla" (https://vegasexperience.com/slotzilla-zip-line/) That is a zipline for 5 blocks above the Freemont Street experience. I parked at the end of the zip line, and walked Freemont street to the start of the zipline. I still like ziplining. There were a couple of place I could have stopped, but chose to keep going and look for lunch.<Narrator: He's an idiot and won't find lunch>
Drove to the Strip and decided that I would walk around the hotels and shops there. I discovered a few things. First no matter how hard to try to walk, I actually stroll. Strolling in 106 degree dry heat is uncomfortable and makes my legs tired. SO I decided to go back to the air conditioning of my hotel. And the fun begins as I spent 45 minutes looking for my car. Apparently I had taken the elevator UP to the Casino, not down. Got to The Venetian and had a nice, expensive, lunch
Slept, showered and went to see Piff The Magic Dragon. I was a great show, and I am still slightly annoyed that when I was in The Dominican Republic Piff was in Atlanta (well, Sandy Springs).
From there I went to Caesars Palace and saw Absinthe. Absinthe is in a Circus tent outside of the main building, and as far from the parking lot as you can get. I had a snack and soda while waiting for the 11 PM show to start. (2AM in Atlanta). The inside was interesting, a Theater in the round where all the chairs were different. It looks like someone went to all the thrift stores within 100 miles and bought all the kitchen, dining room and folding chairs they could find. The show was raunchy comedy, side show sword sallower, contortionist, women on the high bending poles doing tricks, a group of men doing acrobatics and a simple, funny, acrobatic Las Vegas Burlesque striptease; all in a circus atmosphere. Please go and enjoy.
I got back to my room about 1:15AM reached for my phone, and it was not in my pocket. It was then I realized it was in the car when I dropped it with the Valet. Verified it with the find my android web page. At least my smart watch still gets texts from my phone and it allowed me to set my alarm. For short night's sleep...
